Screen Printing
Screen Printing is a simple branding method to add Pantone logos, text and complex single colour or two colour designs to almost all material types.
Screen printing is the best option to print solid blocks or patches of color. Screen printing is a technique whereby a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a material, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil. A blade or squeegee is moved across the screen to fill the open mesh apertures with ink, and a reverse stroke then causes the screen to touch the surface. This causes the ink to reach the surface through the mesh apertures as the screen springs back after the blade has passed.
Using different layers of ink can build up a multicoloured image, however the result is not as fine or intricate as UV printing, and certainly won’t be as precise as CMYK printing and laminating. However screenprinting is beneficial on larger runs where it is much more cost effective than UV printing, and also on existing stock books where printing CMYK of course does not apply.

This includes Pantones, metallic inks as well as novelty inks such as dark glowing UV inks, all the way through to bright neon inks and glitter inks .
