Need More Control? If you’re looking for even greater control over the design and customization of your notebook, we recommend using our custom notebook builder. This tool allows you to fully customize your notebook, including more advanced options like page layouts, binding styles, and bespoke features that go beyond the standard ready-to-brand offerings.

3.1 Paper Options

When selecting a notebook, one of the key customizations to consider is the type of paper used inside. Most ready-to-brand notebooks offer different paper options to suit a variety of needs, whether for writing, sketching, planning, or journaling. Below are the most common options you’ll find for our various ready to brand notebooks.

Design Options:

  • Plain: A blank canvas for freeform writing, drawing, or sketching.
  • Ruled: The classic choice for writing, with evenly spaced lines to guide your text.
  • Dot Grid: A versatile option that provides subtle guidance for writing, sketching, or designing without being too intrusive.
  • Squared: Ideal for technical work, math, or diagrams, with a grid layout to help with precision.

Paper Weight (GSM): Paper weight is measured in GSM (grams per square meter), which indicates the thickness and durability of the paper. Higher GSM means thicker paper, which can better handle ink without bleeding through. Our standard offerings typically include:

  • 80 GSM: Light and flexible, ideal for everyday writing and note-taking.
  • 90 GSM: A bit thicker, offering a premium feel and reducing ink bleed.
  • 100 GSM: Heavier and more durable, perfect for notebooks that will be used frequently or for those requiring a higher-end feel.

Paper Colors: The color of the paper also plays a role in the overall aesthetic and usability of the notebook:

  • Ivory: A warmer, off-white tone that is easier on the eyes and gives a classic, elegant look.
  • Off White: Slightly brighter than ivory, offering a cleaner look while still being softer than pure white.
  • White: Crisp and clean, white paper is ideal for those who prefer a modern, stark contrast for their notes or designs.

3.2 Branding Options

Most off the shelf notebooks will have the same branding options. Which include

  • Foiling: A process where metallic or colored foil is applied to the surface of the cover using heat and pressure, creating a shiny or matte design.
  • Debossing: The technique of pressing a design into the cover material, creating a recessed impression. This adds texture and a subtle, elegant look to the cover.
  • UV Printing: Also known as UV offset printing, this method involves using UV light to dry or cure ink as it is printed onto the cover material. It allows for vibrant colors and precise detail.
  • Screen Printing: A printing technique where ink is pushed through a mesh stencil (screen) onto the printing surface. Each screen corresponds to one color in the design. Screen printing is known for its vibrant colors and durability, making it ideal for designs with solid, bold areas of color.
  • Two-Color Screen Printing: An extension of the screen printing process that uses two separate screens, each for a different color. This technique allows for more complex designs with two distinct colors. The colors are printed one at a time, and precise alignment (registration) is essential to ensure the final design looks sharp and professional.

On our website you will be able to upload your logo or add a place holder logo to specify where you would like the logo to be placed. (ADD IMAGE)

Please note, this is so that you can show us visually where you would like your logo and the rough size of the logo. Prior to production we will send you a finished proof with the final logo placement that will need to be confirmed prior to production.

3.3 Monogramming

You can Monogram each notebook. This involves imprinting initials or names on the cover of each notebook, using techniques like foiling or embossing. This process requires individual attention for each notebook, making it more expensive as each book has to be personalized separately.

3.4 Belly Band

You can add custom belly bands to any notebook. Our belly bands can be created in single colors or full-color designs, and can be further customized with foiling or debossing for a unique, high-end look. We offer standard shapes for bellybands, but can also accommodate die-cut designs to match any unique shape requirements. Additionally, we provide a variety of paper stocks to choose from, ensuring that the bellybands perfectly complement the notebooks they adorn.

3.5 Printed Insert

Although you can’t customise the inside pages of an off the shelf notebook you can add Printed Inserts. Printed Insert are a group of separately printed pages glued into the book at the spine, to act as just like a bound-in page. You can have up to 16 pages printed and added to a notebook, although generally we recommend 4 or 8 pages. Uses of Printed Inserts include brand or company information, digitally printed color illustrations and photographic prints

3.6 Quantities and Pricing

When you have chosen your customisation options above you will see a unit price for the notebook you have selected. Once you enter in the quanmity of notebooks you require you will see the cost increase or decrease. Generally notebook decrease in price significantly once you reach quanityes of 250 units
